To honor the victims of the Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire of 1911 Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU Arts & Science has partnered with Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition to present "Collective Ribbon: The Interwoven Voices of the Triangle Fire Memorial." This exhibition tells the history and ongoing impact of this tragic event that resulted in the deaths of 146 workers—most of whom were young Italian immigrant women—and displays aspects of the new memorial being erected at the site of the fire, known today as NYU's Brown Building.
