SLEEPING WITH THE FISH by Joe Gulla

Directed by Caterina Nonis with Marc Lombardo, Nick Piacente, Laura Caparrotti

Joe Gulla is a simple, gay, Bronx-born Italian…. with a dream! He is a regular performer at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater. His play. “GAY.PORN.MAFIA”, had a Sold Out World Premiere at Chelsea’s New York Live Arts Theater last year and went on to win the Downtown Urban Arts Festival “Audience Award”. Previously, Joe’s “The Bronx Queen” and “Garbo” won the 2016 and 2017 DUAF “Audience Award” respectively. This June, his play ”Reel Wood" will have its World Premiere as part of the 2019 Valdez Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Alaska. As an actor, Joe played "Joey" in San Francisco's "Tony & Tina's Wedding" for many years and "Frankie" in Off-Broadway's "My Big Gay Italian Wedding". Caterina Nonis is a director and actor from Milan, Italy. She has directed and assisted at Page 73, The In[heir]itance Project, The Habitat, Shotz!, NYMadness, Theatre East, NY SummerFest, Modern Shakespeare Project. With KIT, she performed in the North-East tour of “The Worth of Women”. Webseries: “Running Local” (Amazon Prime). SDCF 18/19 observership class. BFA: NYU Tisch - Stella Adler, RADA.

Marc Lombardo is an actor based in New York. He is thrilled to be at the Casa Italiana Zerilli-Maximo.

THREESOME by Jack Hannon

Directed by Kylie Brown, with Jeremy Landers and Jose Useche

Kylie Brown is a Brooklyn-based director of new work and literary manager for Normal Ave. Recent directing projects: little lives by Shara Feit (Furnace Festival, G45 Lightbulb series), Of the Woman Came the Beginning of Sin and through her we all die by Lily Houghton (EST Bloodworks), What We Made: Gone Missing Lobby Project (The Civilians/City Center Encores! Off-Center), and Painting Faye Salvez by Rachel Covey (NYMF, Northwestern). She has done short plays and readings with EST/Youngblood, The Muse Project, 7x7.  As an assistant/associate director, she has worked with Liesl Tommy, Leigh Silverman, and Lear Debessonet, among others. Notable projects include Eclipsed, Privacy, and most recently assisted Leigh Silverman for the first fully female/non-binary creative team on Broadway for Lifespan of a Fact.

Jeremy Landes is an actor, director and producer. Recent directing credits include Completeness, Lazy Eye, Den of Thieves, and Bigger Animals. As an actor, credits include productions with TACT, The Workshop Theater, MaineStage Shakespeare, and Normal Ave, where he serves as Executive Director. Proud AEA member. 10 MINUTES by Apo Kaya

Festival entrant Apo Kaya began his career in Theater Arts as a radio play actor in Diyarbakir, Turkey at age 11. Later, he graduated from Mujdat Gezen Conservatory for the Arts in İstanbul, Turkey. In addition, he worked there as a performing art teacher for a while. Moreover, he continued his career as a director and a playwright, and has written two plays staged in Istanbul Dur Bi Dakka (Wait A Minute) and Ne Istediniz? (What Did You Want?) and is the recipient of the Lion’s Club Best Director Award and New Theatre Magazine’s Writer of the Year and currently lives in Long Island City.

Pooya is an Iranian-American actor, writer, filmmaker & Transgender activist. Her most recent TV role is a recurring guest star on the new crime drama "Big Dogs" produced by Choice Films & Theatricals, directed by Mathew Penn & Tony Glazer, coming in 2019. Other TV  credits include a recurring quest star in the first season of the USA network's "Falling Water" and CBS's "Madam Secretary". Pooya's also starring in a short film co-written and co-produced by her "Transit: A NYC FAIRYTALE " ,coming out in 2020. #pooyaland

 

ORLANDO by Federica Cucco

Federica Cucco was born in Italy in 1992. She started focusing on writing 6 years ago. From that moment on she decided to improving her writing and theatrical skills through workshops and important collaborations with Italian authors. She studied in Milan, Parma and Bologna. She presented her works in theatres all over Italy, such as Rome, Bologna and Napoli. She is the president of La Compagnia delle Lucciole, being also the author and director.  

Jose Useche is an actor/writer from Queens, NY. He was worked with New York Theatre Workshop, MCC Theater Company, The Acting Company, and WaterWell Theatre Company. Favorite credits include Man B in Degage at the Hangar Theatre and Tim in The Fat Mady Sings at LaMama ETC. When not performing Jose can be found writing or being anxious or both.
